It is with much sadness that I feel the need to respond to not only messages regarding Fairway Lakes, but with this apartment ratings site in general. I am aware that many people do visit this website and because of that I feel the need to get another side of the story out there.

I would bet that 90% of the responses you read are written by two categories of people. The first category is the disgruntled resident. In this industry there will always be that small percentage of people that for whatever reason do not or cannot abide by the lease contract. In these events the property management company usually has to make some tough decisions that ultimately are not going to meet with the approval of the resident involved. In retaliation they feel it necessary to vent their frustration here.

The second category is someone who works for the apartment community itself. These are usually glowing reviews put there either to paint a rosy picture or usually to compensate for those things written by people from category one.

The bottom line is you should make your choices based on fact and not opinion. While I'm sure there is truth in some of the comments posted on this Aptratings website, both the good and the bad, you ultimately should make the effort and see for yourself. Personally call or visit the communities that best suite your needs or talk to friends or co-workers that you trust. Please don't be swayed by people that may have their own personal agenda.

While I am here I would like to give you some facts about Fairway Lakes and tell you how lucky I feel being a part of so many wonderful peoples lives. Not just the residents who call Fairway Lakes home, but also the great team of employees that I am a part of.

Every year the company that owns Fairway Lakes performs a third party confidential resident survey to check up on the level of customer satisfaction at our community. A comprehensive report is then created with ratings given from 1 to 5 in several dozen categories (1 is poor and 5 is excellent), which include community appearance, building construction, amenities, maintenance, leasing staff, management staff etc.

This past survey our residents gave us an overall satisfaction score of 4.14, which is between good and excellent and above the national average of 3.79. We always strive to do better and our satisfaction rating keeps increasing from 3.91 in 2002 and 3.63 in 2001.

While it would be impossible to list all the results some of the other key scores are ' Maintenance Team Responsiveness 4.22, Leasing Team Professionalism & Courtesy 4.18, Leasing Team Responsiveness 4.23, Property Management Professionalism & Courtesy 4.19, Property Management Responsiveness 4.16, Overall Sense Of Security 4.15 and Location 4.58.

Remember these are the average scores given by the people that know us best, the people that live here both happy and disgruntled. I urge you to come and take a look for yourselves and if you find it necessary I would be more than happy to share with you further facts from our resident survey. Contrary to a former comment my office door is always open and I challenge anyone to find it in any other condition.
