Hi everyone, I just read all the post and feel the exact same way. I ahve been there since February and need to get out of this place. Did any of you get out of the lease, or were you stuck there.

Hi, I lived at Fieldstone from 2005-2006 with a friend which we both signed a one year lease. Long story short we weren't getting along and my roommate agreed to take over and pay so I could leave. The staff wouldn't let me which is understandable. So I went to the office to give them my 60 day notice and thats when they said if your roommate is leaving when the lease is up you are required to stay here with her. Thanks goodness she left also and I didn't have to deal with that. We signed a one year lease and that was the agreement. So they also accused me of not paying rent several times. I also want to warn you when you move out. MAKE THEM DO A WALK THROUGH BEFORE YOU TURN YOUR KEY IN. Our place was spotless with some nail holes in the wall. We cleaned that place forever and we got charged 400.00 on top of the deposit we didn't get back. I ended up getting a lawyer but he couldn't help me since I didn't have pictures to prove what the place looked like when I moved in. I took pictures of everything when we left. It was a hugh mess. That place is horrible. Good luck and I would be happy to answer any questions.

I did a lease break as well and it wasn't that bad. If you know anything about contract laws, you know that a lease is a contract between 2 parties, so it is a courtesy they let you pay to break the lease because it is much cheaper than paying for the lease usually. Also, if you are concerned about charges, be a smart consumer/tenant and take your own pictures at move in and move out because they will too, cold hard facts are more believable than just saying you left it clean if their pictures say otherwise! If you follow the rules, read the lease and abide by it, you will not have any issues with living at an Ardent Community, it's really that easy.
