If you after reading the posts on this site still decide to move into this complex...beware. Make sure that prior to signing your lease that you actually look at the apartment that they have assigned to you. The apartment that we are in smells like you would not believe and no amount of cleaning has helped it. One of the bathroom sinks has this rotting flesh odor coming out of it all of the time. We have had to keep the drain closed to help keep the smell down. The walls are paper thin so if you are having a conversation and don't want anyone to hear you you would be better off going outside!! We had rented from Triangle real estate/ Ardent some years ago and did not have any issues at all (different complex). We moved back to Ohio and chose them again, huge mistake on our parts. You would think that with the competition from other apartment complexes that actually treat people right that they would not be doing the things that they are. There was an earlier remark that there should be a class action suit brought against Ardent, and we agree with that because there has to be some legal recourse that can be taken. We have never done this before but we took over 300 pictures of each and everything in this apartment. We did this on day one because when we complained about the smell they told us "it's normal for an apartment to have a lingering odor", on what planet!!!'!' We do not plan on staying here past our lease and will contest any so called damages to the apartment that they try and stick us with. There is no way that every resident they have ever had has damaged the apartments to the extent that they claim.

I don't agree. They have always responded to my maintenance issues immediately, I think this guy is just exaggerating. As for the walls being paper thin....you live in an apartment, the walls are no different than if you lived in a house and had your parents in the next room over, that is normal. And if you are complaining about damages after move out, why did you move in with Triangle/Ardent again????---it must not be that bad afterall!

We never said anything in our posting against the maintenance crew. As for the walls being thin... the walls between each individual apartment should not be thin enough so that you learn every single life detail about your neighbors. We chose Triangle/Ardent again based on having rented an apartment at one of their other complexes some years ago. We did not realize until after moving in just how things had changed for the worse. Triangle/Ardent has refused to even respond to complaints against them that have gone to the Better Business Bureau so it seems that they really have no other intention than treating people poorly and charging for things that they themselves refuse to verify as they are too busy being underhanded to respond to complaints with the BBB.

I have lived in an Ardent property for a little over a year now. And their service is fantastic! Ive read all the reviews on here for numerous apartments. And all anyone seems to complain about ardent is paper thin walls and charges. I will take that over living in an apartment with hidden black mold because the management decided to paint over it to save a buck. Ardent is meticulous about their homes. I would say this is a good thing. Or living with a broken toilet for weeks and having no one to call to fix it. Ardent is always on there maintenance issues, always there to make sure they are fixed. And now lets talk about a woman at another place had flooded carpet and nothing was done, and she had to live with it for days, and decided to pay and have it cleaned up herself. And even after they never did anything to compensate her. I can only imagine the damage it caused being there so long. So in ending this, id like to say alot of you are being big babies about this. You obviously haven't lived in very many apartments to think this is as bad as you all make it out to be.
