I don't even know where to begin. I have been in propertymanagement for a number of years and also someone who has rented apartments for the last 20 years. This company is a complete sham! Not only are they unprofessional, but also unmoral. If you are a current resident, b e prepared to owe when you move out. This company is "upgrading" the apartments as people vacate by installing new counterops, blinds, faucets etc. Well, they are charging the people moving out for this expense! I have documented as many as 5 past residents just within a 3 month period fighting the same battle. ARDENT is trying to get YOU to pay for their upgrades for the new residents coming in. Completely illegal! This doesn't just happen at Fieldstone Trace, this is ARDENT as a whole. They have several properties in Columbus and practice the same tactless moves at each site.

Luckily for me being in the business I know how to fight this and will until the end. But or those of you who don't, DO NOT let them rip you off. If they chose to do upgrades, it is at their own turn cost.

How do you fight this? They didn't give my $200 deposit back when I moved in June and they are still trying to get another $200 out of me. I diputed the charges but they just came back to say that I owe them and I had to pay them or they would send me to collections. I shouldn't owe them anything the owe me. How do you fight them? They say they will send it collections.
