I was the maintenance man from 11/07 until 12/08. I am not a disgruntled employee, I quit. Peirpont apartments are plumbed with Qwest plumbing, it is plastic. When I was there I had to fix over 50 water leaks that usually caused a large flood or mold, most of the time both. If your apartment gets flooded Smith Tandy will not help you in any way, they tell you to get renters insurance, you should, but you should also be told of the faulty pipes. When the leak is fixed a week later I had to seal the hole up. This place is covered in mold. There are 2 buildings there that were built on a crawspace. The area isnt ventalated at all. Since I was there they went through 4 maintenance men. They all had sets of master keys to the property, even the carpet installer has keys to every unit. After I quit I still got emergency maintenance calls to my personal phone because the new maintenance staff dosent respond. I tried for a year to make the clubhouse/ pool or even one apartment handicap accessable but they told me it was too much trouble to do that. The manager probably will write a responce on here trying to save face as she needs to, and if you dont beleive this review then just ask the manager to show you im wrong.

You are out of your mind! Pierpont is one of the best neighborhoods I have ever lived in. As for the body, people die wherever you live. The managers have switched but the first one was here for like 5 years. I am very happy at Pierpont and the rent rate is resonable.
