Slowly going downhill

I live in a 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath TH from 2007-2008. The neighborhood is slowly becoming more and more questionable. I have seen numerous cars that have blown out windows. The office staff has so many apartments to handle that they dont seem to be too concerned with any problem you may have and they frequently changed their rules as far as rent but didnt hesistate to charge a late fee.
Also for as long as I lived there there was always a gas company out doing drilling of some sort and it was a complete eye sore. If someone is paying nearly a grand a month there shouldnt be a drilling truck in their front yard. Parking is awful. Good luck finding a spot. Also the pet owners around there are just plain lazy. There is so much dog waste you have to watch your step when walking in any grass. The people next to me had 4 dogs and joked about how the rental office never knew.
On a lighter note, the fireplaces are awesome and really cut down the gas bill in the winter. Utilities are fairly low for the size of the TH's. Especially if your in the middle. The apartments themselves are nice. And are HUGE.. But everything else... makes it not worth it.

The "eyesore" drilling section that you are talking about is actually not the gas company but sewer and water. They are taking the pipeline from New Albany and routing through this area. We lived directly in front of this and we asked how long it was supposed to take. Since Remington Station had no control over this they could only give sketchy timeframes. It was supposed to be completed in a year and after a year and a half it is still there but nearing completion.

zenosidal, I would have to agree there are issues with maintenance I have had to repair some things myself including changing outlets since anything you plug into them just falls right back out. Also had a leaky faucit i didnt fix this one on my own but they have had to replace the gasket inside of it twice in three years not sure why they wont just replace it. When I first moved in the whole apt stunk like dog crap previous renter didnt take good care of it. I made the complex replace the carpet. I agree with ashley and yourself this complex really is going down the tubes when i first moved in it was quiet now well lets just say i cant wait to get out of here only a few months left.

I have an update on that too Anon...FINALLY they realized (ding ding ding - IDEA) they would have to replace VALVES and seals on the toilets to stop leaks. They refuse to believe lights are broken and sockets don't work, they are UNprofessional, and as for water...mine went DOWN (lo and behold) once leaks were fixed but my neighbor had an $800 bill!!! OBVIOSULY an error...called them, they said pay it or move out! WTF!? THEN I have a security system, she was told NO she could NOT have one. Hmm...I think there's some shady picking and choosing of who they favor here...OH not to mention as I have bitched about in other posts - broken or loose steps on those sh**ty concrete steps to the streets, ridiculous notes about garbage cans when you CANNOT even barely get your car in the 3/4 garage, and let's not forget a fob system for the workout facility that MAY or MAY NOT work and you're told use it during office hours..hmm, I PAY enough to use it whenever, and I WORK during office hours like normal people paying luxury prices to live in a so called LUXURY community. This place is a fuc*ing joke.
