If you want peace and quiet, buy a house

I've lived here for 7 months now and overall, I like it. But yes, it's an apartment complex and you will hear neighbors, and yes, people do keep different hours. And everyone has a different experience because you never know who your neighbors will be when you move in. That's the way it is. Apartment living does require a certain amount of flexibility. For the most part, people are friendly and pleasant and the maintenance crew keeps the place looking beautiful. The office staff is very friendly and will work with you if you have a complaint about a neighbor or anything else. The units themselves are modern and efficient, and some back into the woods -- a nice touch in the summer. This is about as good as it gets when it comes to apartment living. If you want total peace and quiet, buy a house.

How is this helpful? Most people (maybe all people) if given the choice would buy a house rather than rent an apartment. THEY CAN'T AFFORD IT. Common sense, it is amazing.
