I have lived at Remington for a couple years now. I am moving out because I cant take all the problems that just get "covered up". Lets start with the fitness room, it wouldnt be bad, if things worked. There are 2 treadmills, both of with you can not turn up to more than a walk, if you do they shut off without notice and you get the privilage of running into the front of the machine. The managments solution, unplug them for a week, then put a sign on them that says "do not use over speed 6". The bike usually doesnt work. The hot tub is usually a ice cold tub, if it is filled up at all. If you have pets, pay attention, they will come and spray the grass, where you and your pets have to keep off for days, but they will not tell you when, and the will spray all of the grass in the entire complex, for days the dogs have to do their stuff on the sidewalks and roads. But please look for the tiny little signs that say the sprayed, dont let them kill your pet. Now lets talk about the individual units. They are big I will admit that, the maintanence guys are nice and helpful. If you plan to move here you will need a few things, #1 plastic to put on the windows. If you put up curtains, you will see them blow in the wind, not a joke. We put up plastic, and during the winter, the plastic was completely frosted and iced over. You will want to get a couple of space heaters, thats about the only way to keep the place warm without a $300 heating bill. Dont plan on using too many other things in the apt when that space heater is plugged in though, about 75% of the outlets in the apt are tied to one breaker, bad but not horrible, but factor in that a majority of the lights are on the same breaker, horrible. The entire apartment, walls and ceilings are covered in the 1980's popcorn. We have the largest unit, I had more space in my kitchen in my studio apt in lakewood. After a couple years of being here we still vacuum our carpet on a regular basis, not because it is dirty, but because it falls apart and you have to vacuum the fibers up. Last lets talk about the office staff. For the most part they are nice, but dont bother learning their names, they change every couple months. The one common denominator is Michelle, the leasing manager. Dont trust a single things she says unless you have it in writing. The last time we renewed our lease, she quoted us 4 different prices. I also know, as I heard her talk to a former office worker, if she wants something, she takes it. She decided that she wanted a different model of apt than the one she had, there was a waiting list at the time for all models. She raised the rent on a person in the perticular model she wanted by $300 a month so they would move out, they did, she took the apt, nevermind the people who were on the waiting list. They advertise this complex as "luxury apartments" the only thing that is luxury is the price. The best example I can give of how great it is to live here, of all the people who work here, only Michelle lives here. In the words of the maitenance worker who I talked with last week, and I quote "there is no way in hell I would live here, $300 heating bills, these kitchens, Michelle, no way."

I agree about a few things such as the popcorn ceilings and the fitness room equipment being broke (sometimes). The hot tub was working most of the time, but when they did repair it it took quite a awhile.

Now for the good things: the rent is fair for how much it costs to go elsewhere in the city. The utilities were never bad for how big the places are and I never (in both my units) had any problems with a draft. The poeple that work here get stuff done when asked, and I NEVER heard any of my neighbors... EVER! This person sounds like they just had a little personal vendetta with someone at the unit. Jealousy anyone? As a third party i can tell you this is far from true.
