Considering the rent is between $900 and a grand, there four major problems with living in the apartments (I imagine the townhomes have the same ones.).

1. They have mice.
2. They have a very bad ant problem.
3. Because it's right next to the train tracks, the train comes at various times a day, including 3:00 AM. It's loud and depending on which apartment you live in it will cause your place to vibrate.
4. The walls are thin. (You will hear your neighbors on the toilet and in their bedrooms. If someone throws a party or plays loud music, forget about it.)

The good thing about the place is you have access to Westlake schools. It's safe. Public services are excellent. I've lived in the apartments for nearly three years now but this will definitely be my last.

Please do not write reviews for other properties under the Westchester Townhomes account. You are writing a review for Westchester Woods property, not the Townhomes and should make that clear since they are 2 different management companies therefore staff response will be different for your problems. If you are a dirty person you will get ants, mice and other pests anywhere you live. In any apartment or condo building you WILL hear noise, especially loud noise from neighbors. The townhome rents are under $900 and are built better for noise.

LIAR!!! This was the WORST place I'd ever lived. Lived at Westchester Apartments, Westlake,for one year and it was horrible! I believe lovejonesonline 100%; it is true about all the things written! How do you account for ants, mice etc on day one of moving in? Your property SUCKS and people know it! Only reason you get tenants is it's because it's on the less expensive side living in Westlake! What a DUMP! Disgusted

Each person has their own experience of the world around them and the places they visit. My personal experience of Westchester Townhomes in Westlake has been very pleasant. I've lived there for two years and found the only problem to be the thin walls. It is true that you can hear far too much of what's happening in the adjacent units. That being said, I would certainly encourage anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, nicely maintained rental in a lovely, park-like setting to check this one out.

If management would not have been a bigoted hypocrite, we would have stayed more than nine years at Westchester Townhomes. Unfortunately; when people move in (x,y generation) less than the time we were a responsible tenant,(with no prior issues) the neighbor thought they were Miss all high and mighty because of a position she had with a local agency, she pulled her weight and wrongfully used her authority and received what she wanted unjust and without an investigation by property management. One way streets are apparently the correct way to resolve issues without hearing the defendant's reasons.
