A really weird place...

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
I lived in one of the high-rise buildings for 2.5 months while I was with a major insurance company in the area during the summer.
The high-rises on the outside are pitiful looking. They could easily be mistaken for housing projects as one travels along I-90. The hallways are similar, however on the inside the apartments have been nicely refurbished and are very clean and modern. There are a wide-range of people living here, from families to young singles. The elderly however is the group that seems to make up the majority.
While there is ample parking the complex seems to be in a shady neighborhood... I have seen the front door to the building smashed open a couple times, although the broken glass is almost always fixed within a day. The entrance is gated but you can enter without any ID or parking permit if you know to use the right-hand lane.
Overall my feelings are mixed on Pine Ridge. Had I been moving to the area on a permanent basis I probably would have not chosen this complex based on the poorly-lit, drab hallways and the prevalent feeling of unsafeness. However the apartment itself was in excellent condition. The apartment complexes in Mayfield seem to be better than this one IMO... but perhaps Pine Ridge is the right fit for you.
