I can't believe the persons submitting all these negative reviews live in the same complex I do! After living here for 10 years, I am still extremely happy and satisfied with just about all aspects of Pine Ridge. Yes, I have noticed some changes in the population since I moved in, but please, people, diversity should be the norm in this day and age. We don't live in a bubble! And to say that you can't even drive into the complex because there are kids everywhere -- I drive in and out many times a day and night and have never encountered problems with children or teens. Maybe you folks know something I don't about theft and robberies, but I've never even heard about those things here, although if it has happened, can you ever be completely safe from those situations anywhere'
As for parking, if visitors can't find a place to park in this vast lot, they must be very particular, or expect to park directly in front of the entrance. And the grounds, I believe, are very well maintained -- the flowers in spring and summer are beautiful as you drive into the complex! I always feel proud to bring a new visitor here, or welcome old friends. Yes, occasionally there are stray empty bottles or papers floating about -- but that surely isn't unusual in a complex this size, and I believe maintenance does an admirable job in trying to keep up the grounds from litter. (Anyway, folks, it's EVERYONE'S responsibility not to litter!)
I do regret that though management is very good about plowing in the winter, they DO NOT salt enough near the entrances and, after a good freeze, the parking lots become a veritable skating rink! Especially for the many, many renters who are seniors, like myself, this is a dangerous situation and I'd like to see more done in this regard.
As for maintenance problems in the apartment -- I have never had one in 10 years. While I've needed to make minimal calls for any repairs, whenever I have called, the response has been the same day or definitely within 24 hours, and the problems was fixed (correctly) without fail. Again, I don't know why some of the other reviewers seem so dissatisfied.
Because I haven't had occasion to complain about much, I haven't really dealt that much with management. It's sort of a case of "I don't bother you, you don't bother me."
As for thin walls, I don't know which building that complaint came from, but I can say that in all the years I've been here, and I've lived in the mid-rise building as well as two different apartments here in H building, I've never been able to hear conversations from adjoining apartments unless the individuals were screaming at the top of their lungs! Some music might occasionally come through the vents, but I've been really lucky that never occurred in excess or at excessively late hours. Maybe I have just been lucky in that regard, and perhaps for some others that has been problematic. Guess it's the luck of the draw as far as who your neighbors are. Yes, there most likely are times when you will hear some noise from another apartment, a baby crying, a party on a Saturday night out on the balcony. The normal noises of living, folks. Deal with it -- you live in an apartment, not a house on a hill!
Yes, there was a very foul smell for a few months on the first floor of H building earlier this year. We were told it was a sewer backup problem beneath the building and was being investigated and remedied as soon as it was feasible. It took awhile and, yes, I wasn't pleased about it and was actually embarrassed to have friends come over to visit during that time. But, finally, the cause was found and it was fixed. That could happen anywhere. I'm also very happy with the new supers in H building -- they keep the place much cleaner (especially the compact rooms on each floor) than the former couples did. And as for smells of garlic and other cooking odors in the halls, oh well, we do have a variety of ethnic groups living here, so I think that's to be expected. Again, people, you're living in an apartment -- not a private residence! Maybe folks don't like what you're cooking, either.
I just got really irate reading the negative reviews. I've lived in other apartment complexes -- and believe me, I value my years here at Pine Ridge, and I tell that to anyone who will listen. You do get what you pay for, and all the additional amenities here far outweigh any petty inconveniences. Wouldn't hesitate for a minute recommending Pine Ridge!

There must be an alternative Pine Ridge you are living at, or this is Pine Ridge staff trying to save their butts and posting their own to even out the ratings.
I understand we all live in a complex with thousands of other residents, however, the smells of greasy food and what not in the halls can and probably would be corrected if the particular resident decided to open their patio door to air out the smell instead of the door that leads to the hallway. The same with the smokers. You can deny this up and down, but I have seen it with my own eyes people using chairs, shopes and whatever else they can find to air out the smells of their apartment into the hallways.
I can speak from further personal expierence that the lots do NOT get plowed as they should. When they do get around to plowing it? The plow guys just push the snow behind the vehicles, making it nearly impossible to get out unless you own a shovel. I have an SUV that was built for off roading and those type of conditions and I still have to end up shoveling myself out every few days. It seems the property would rather save the money on the plow guys rather then pay to have them come out more often to make it safe for residents.
If you truely are a tennant I guess yuo are fortunate to have had such a wonderful expierence. If you are Pine Ridge staff... how about going and addressing the issues that your tennants have outlined instead of sitting here and trying to have them swept under the rug.

I agree with the response,I live here and many people are unhappy.THE HALLS & GARBAGE DISPOSAL IS NOT KEPT UP.The management is very unprofessional.the ammenities are a scam for a sales pitch only...the indoor pool is often closed, they dont want anyone in the club house(a child can not go up there with a parent)but I've seen dogs up there???teens are not welcome anywhere & continental breakfast is unripe fruit & 2 muffins every half hour w/a staff member watching every move you make.(it feels like your invading the staffs privacy & taking food out of their mouth)
