I actually liked these apartments. For the price you're paying (right now $530 for a 1-bedroom apartment, no garage, I think) I think it is a good deal. We had a garage which was only an extra $20 per month. Luckily my husband could fix most maintenance problems himself, and anything he couldn't fix (eg: the cold-water knob broke in the shower) maintenance took care of pretty quickly for us. When we moved in we had a new kitchen floor and new stove.
I really loved the location of the apartments as we were walking distance to everything in Willoughby. Yes, they are outdated and the windows are probably the originals from when they were built, but the rent is the cheapest around, the apartments are relatively big, and the location is hard to beat.

I think if you are a late 20-something student who wants to have a place of their own, like my husband and I, Willogrove is a pretty decent set-up.
