Headaches, Hassles and Beyond

Before you commit to renting here, why not ask the property manager how many people have vacated in the last 6 mos. Then ask her how many new tenants have moved in in the last 6 mos. If she is honest with you, which she probably won't be, you will be alarmed to the point where you will be looking to rent elsewhere. People are bolting out of here, big time. Their resident retention rate here is absolutely HORRIBLE! NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WANTS TO LIVE HERE!
If you are fooled somehow into signing a lease here, I will tell you 3 things that you definitely DO NOT want to do: 1) DO NOT rent a garage space for your car if you value it at all. The garage leaks and the overhang at the entrances and exits drips - and it's not just plain water. It is water that contains mineral deposits, specifically, limestone. This will erode the finish off your car and leave nice little marks in the paint. It does not buff out, so to get your car looking good again,, you'll have to repaint it. Management, of course, assumes no responsibility for this - you'll be tolld that you park at your own risk. They don't realize that any competent attorney will tell you that the owner's of a property ARE responsible for structural damage that is causing a tenant's property to be damaged. The limestone in the drippings is coming from the bricks and mortar (the property's structure) of the buildings due to age and wear. This could easily and successfully be challenged - and I'm sure that it eventually will be - but I wouldn't advise challenging this company until your lease is up. They seem to be very vindictive and you may be subject to eviction.
2) DO NOT do your laundry here. First off, there is a good chance it may be stolen by one of your lovely neighbors. And if it's not, it may reek of kerosene or gasoline. There is a guy who lives on this property who works heavily with kerosene and gasoline who does his wash in the machines. The smell lingers in the machines and comes off on other people's laundry. If you ask management about it, you'll probably be told that he has every right to use the machines ("we can't tell him not to do his wash here. He lives here.") It doesn't matter that several other people have to use the laundry facilities, or more importantly, that kerosene is a COMBUSTIBLE, which mewans it can and will blow up when exposed to a heat source!
3) DO NOT have packages or parcels shipped to you here because you may not receive them. The office may sign for them when they arrive but that's not a guarantee that you'll ever get them. I know of 3 people who have contacted UPS about packages that were delivered here, all of which had confirmed signatures, but they never got their packages! Ask management about where the stuff went - and they will lok at you dumbfounded and totally clueless! And of course, offer no explanation as to what happened to the packages!
The resident turnover rate here is and will continue to be ridiculous. The only people that are staying on are older people that are either too old or too sick to move out! Fresh paint and cheap, ugly newcarpeting doesn't seem to be enough to make people want to continue living on this property. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
