The one benefit to living here, is the apartments are brand new, you will be the first one in. BUT, that does not weigh out the bad. The rent is too high for what is provided. The apartments are cheaply made, which causes maintenance problems. Our floor is slanted! Literally! The complex also makes money off other services provided, i.e. cable/telephone, water/sewage, etc. You HAVE to go through Cox Cable, and I'm sure the complex gets a kick back. You HAVE to go through USI Energy for water/sewage. Instead of having a water meter, they make you pay based on occupancy, not water used. So I pay as much for my 17 month daughter a month in water, as I do for me.
The maintenance is pretty good, and the staff is pretty friendly. But if confronted on any of these issues, they give the overly practiced "corporate answers" and say, "There's nothing we can do" even if they agree it is not fair. There is not too much privacy. The insullation is not apparent, so you can hear EVERYTHING around you, especially the kids screaming outside.
