Deceitful landlords.

There is a positive review of these apartments, but I'm almost certain that the owners wrote it themselves, don't believe a word of it.
I haven't lived in many apartments before, but I can't imagine anyplace worse than this.
The day we came to sign the lease, they raised the price of rent to $100 higher than what they told us it would be, and we had no choice but to agree because we didn't have time to find anywhere else. We were also told we would have free Wi-Fi and that never happened.
Our apartment was being remodeled when we looked at it, and was supposed to be finished by August 1st 2008 which was our move in date and they said it might even be finished earlier. When we showed up to move in they told us it wasn't ready (I'd called the day before to verify that it would be) and we had to stack all of our stuff in the middle of the floor and for 3 days deal with not being to unpack along with the workers coming in and out. After they "finished" a few of the doorknobs were on backwards so they could be pulled open but you had to turn the knob to shut them, the master bathroom had no mirror or shower-head (I finally ended up buying my own from Lowe's), and there were only 2 light bulbs in the entire apartment.
Our fridge was broken so I had over $100 dollars of food spoil, and the washer rattled so bad that the dryer would not stay on top and it sounded like a 747 was flying through the living room. They finally got another fridge for us after we'd been living there for 2 weeks and it was 2 months before the washer was fixed.
About a week after we moved in we noticed water leaking from the ceiling and called to tell them and they said they'd take care of it, but it continued to leak for almost a month in 3 different places.
There has never been enough hot water, and sometimes none at all. They have also shut our water off for maintenance 4 times, and not once given notice. They must have finally got tired of people complaining about the lack of hot water because they decided to replace the water heaters. This, however, meant that we went 3 days without hot water and they did put a note on our door, but this was after we'd had no hot water for a full day. In 6 months of living here, I have had to go to work without a shower twice and another time had to sit around for 2 1/2 hours covered in soap because the water shut off while I was in the shower, and taken cold showers over a dozen times.
They are hardly ever in the office, and even when they are they are too lazy to answer the phone most of the time so you have to walk over there to talk to them. Out of over 20 times I have called them, (during their posted office hours) They have only answered the phone about 5 times.
When we were getting close to the end of our lease we applied to another apartment complex, and listed Boulder Creek as our last residence. The guy from the other apartment faxed rental verification to them 6 times and they never replied until I went to the office and demanded that they did, and they gave us a bad rating saying that we had payed late twice (which we only had once and it was one day late and we told them that it would be a day late and apologized) and had over 50 violations. When I went to ask what these 50 violations were she said there was a noise complaint (which I had not previously heard about) and said that was the only one that they'd put on the rental verification.
