I was able to have good neighbors. Made friends with them quickly. Young, but not noisy. I never heard any of the other neighbors personal lives either. I was friends with the security there at the time (2000-2003) and he only had a few calls a week on complaints. I lived in 3 separate apts there in the time frame, just getting a bigger apt usually. All 3 were nice w/ nice surroundings. I liked how the inside of the apts were kind of divided and made it feel more like a home than an apt. I also liked the security system, made me feel safe when I was single. The management allowed me to have both of my cats, with deposit of course. I'm also friends with the Edmond PD and before renting an apt anywhere, I asked them what complexes they'd recommend. Kickingbird Hills was mentioned, not Kickingbird though. Most of the college students lived in the other side at 1700 Kickingbird.

I'm not sure what the complex is like now, it's too small for my family now anyways. If you're a single mom or dad with 1 kid, it's perfect. Great schools and shopping nearby. Lots of daycares to choose from too. If you're a student, it works perfectly. Can even walk to UCO if you're into all the exercise. :-) The condos across the street from the complexes are nice. My mother and I lived in there for many years. Lots of families living there, some college kids. I think with the times coming up, they could invest in a playground if they havent done so already.

Overall, I was very pleased with my experience there. Like I said, I'm not sure what its like now though. Maintanence was on top of things, the management was great too, very nice.
