Gated Community... False sense of security!

I have recently moved to Edmond from out of state and did a great deal of comparison before choosing Legacy Woods. If a "gated community" gives someone a FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY then they do need to move out. The office staff did answer all of my questions about what happened and I had to agree with the lady that said, "no zip code is crime free". The apartments, neighbors, and area is the best I have been in in a very long time!
