These are nice apartments with good care of the grounds and good amenities. Unfortunately, they charge twice what you would pay to rent an equivalent square footage house. In addition, they have some bizarre extra costs. For example, we were told our rent was $820 per month for a 2 bedroom apartment. They then tacked on $35 for cable, an extra fee for having a fireplace (which of course, they didn't have any available without the fireplace even if we didn't want a fireplace), and an extra amount for "facing the pool". Why should you pay more to listen to drunken idiots hanging out at the hot tub' Unfortunately, the high rent has done nothing to deter idiots drinking at the hot tub late at night, or rednecks driving their pickup trucks at 50 mph down the complex. Our rent went from $820 to $900 per month!

There is also the inconvenient visit of "pest control people" every three months, regardless of whether there are pests or not. They come in, spray around the perimeter of your apartment and go away. There is no saying no - it is like some sort of bizarre secret inspection that happens every 3 months regardless.

It does offer a lot of conveniences, like a small gym, pool and aforementioned hot tub, but at those rates, you can do a lot better with a house. If you are looking for a place to live short term, maybe while your house is being built or while you find a house to buy, this place will be fine.

Some of the front office people have an attitude - like being the manager of a place that overcharges gives them a right to be stuck up ignorant fascists!
