Just like any other apartment it has it's ups and downs. I'm just going to tell you the honest truth about Oxford Oaks.

UPS:1) It's maintained inside and outside
2) Maintenance always has responded quickly to our complaints.
3) The shower pressure is awesome.
4) Never have had a problem with parking so far(although my boyfriends car has gotten broken into)maybe that should of been under -downs-
5) noise is not that bad, We've only had a few with the folks upstairs but they were cool when we asked them to please keep it down.

now for the DOWNS: 1)Now I'm not like a scaredy cat I can handle a few spiders or a weird black bug every once in awhile but I feel like I'm living in their apartment. HUGE spiders everywhere, bugs I've never have seen before. We've been to the office several times complaining and complaining so we had to spray ourselves.
2)We had to take some chairs that wasn't outside appropriate off our porch, they weren't like recliners they we're just 2 wooded chairs so whatever that is stupid
3)I had a nice roman wicker shade in my window and they left a note saying I had to put there window blinds back up. I guess I can't decorate my apartment.
4)Like I said the shower has great pressure but when you step out of the shower your in a puddle(i mean up to your ankles)I have to put towels down everytime I shower.
5)My bedroom door won't stay shut unless it's locked oh ya I've locked myself out a few times
I think that about it OH last one don't even bother going to the office you get no results your talking to a wall

I lived in the 3900 building for about 3 years and had HORRIBLE problems with brown recluse spiders!! They would come and spray when I would complain, but it usually didn't make much of a difference. Anyway, I now live in the 2700 building and have not had any insect problems. It probably just depends on the building. Before moving in, I would examine the unit THOUROUGHLY for any signs of spiders (brownish webs in corners, dead spiders in the water heater closet, etc.). If you see anything, request another unit.
