I lived in Spring Creek for 6 months, and I was more than ready to leave. From the very beginning, I knew that it was going to be a LONG 6 months. After receiving my keys to my "home away from home", I walked in to my apartment to find crap all over the floor. There were several stains on the floor, including fresh paint. The bathroom was an abomination; leaky faucets and a massive mildew problem as a result of the leaks. The kitchen was filthy; old food caked on the stove and in the oven. I took a clean rag and wiped out one of the cupboards; it was literally black when I completed this task. The maintenance staff responded fairly quickly to the problem, and I didn't experience anymore severe problems during my stay at Spring Creek. None-the-less, that first day was a nightmare. Spring Creek also doesn't care about the very, very poor landscaping and upkeep of the premises. I moved in during the spring of 2002, and leaves from the previous fall were still jammed under the metal staircase leading down to my apartment. That staircase, by the way, was corroding with the elements. The outside lighting is mediocre to poor; the Staff clearly doesn't rank safety as an important issue for its residents. My advice: move somewhere else. Spring Creek is not a classy residence; I would rather live in a homeless shelter for a few weeks temporarily until finding a suitable.
