I agree--the plea for positive ratings via giftcards (nothing for negative or neutral ratings) was, in my opinion, ridiculous and completely invalidates most of those responses that come after this. I also felt like it insulted my intelligence.

That said, you can't put lipstick on a pig, but I think the current management company has done a reasonable job of trying. They've had 3 exterminators come in the past 2 months (an inital treatment and 2 check-ups), and we've seen 1 or 2 bugs, but nothing I didn't see occasionally see any other place I've lived. I'm just happy they're trying to take care of the problem instead of ignoring it.

In my opinion, the property has been cheaply flipped (paint carelessly slapped on, cheap appliances, pergo floors laid a little askew), but I knew that for the price I was paying I wasn't moving in to the Ritz. I chose this complex precisely because the price was great and the on-site management is nice (they're always been helpful to me).

Pros: ample parking, clean, neat, reasonably spacious for the price, great closets, nice management, inexpensive place to live, maintenence responds quickly, on sight courtesy officer

Cons: finishes are cheap and craftsmanship is lacking, pet owners don't pick up after their dogs with seemingly no consequences, the yard isn't treated for fleas (which seem to be everywhere), walls are thin

All in all, this definitely isn't somewhere I'd want to live for more than a year or two, but it'll be just fine for now.
