We've heard everything our upstairs neighbors have done since we moved in. There have been many nights when we've come home to absolutely NO parking spots, and have had to walk very far to our apartment. It's expensive for the size, compared to everything else Lawton has to offer. The craftsmanship rates very low on my list, as we are always having problems. We called three times for maintenance to come fix some carpet that had come up...we're still waiting and that was about six months ago. Three of our door handles have fallen off. Our windows are definitely not water-proof - every time it rains we have to lay down towels. Once, last year, they came and put some kind of caulking around the outside of the windows, but it didn't help. A few evenings ago we were going for a walk around the entire premises, and just about threw up from the stench of the trash compactor. You would think that a complex as large as this, seven buildings with 24 apartments each, could afford to have someone come and compact garbage over the weekend. Gross. The office staff has gotten a bit better, at least they seem to be there a little more often. For the first six or seven months, it seemed like everytime rent was due, the staff was never there to collect. Is someone trying to earn a few bucks in late fees' Nice. We got our renewal notice a few weeks ago, guess what' Rent is going up $60, and that's when you sign for a year or longer! It would be $120 more per month if we went on a month-to-month basis. The courtesy patrol is also a joke. I've had to call before, and right after the 'party' is notified and the patrol leaves, they just start up again. Seems like some kind of action should be taken. All I can say is that I will finally be relieved when we move out next week.
