I've lived in The Invitational (formerly Oak Creek) (formerly Villiage Green) for more than 15 years. 5 years ago, yes I would recomend this complex, infact, I did on several occasions. Now, I would not. The age of the complex is beginning to show through, things are falling apart. Then the second problem pops up, either the maintenance team is understaffed or under-trained. Things do not get fixed properly. You will frequently have to call for maintenance multiple times. There have been several times where I've had work orders in that required more than 3 visits by maintenance or the work order would go unanswered for more than 6 months. I've lived in their 2-bdrm. townhouse, 3-bdrm townhouse and a 2-bdrm. apartment (5 different units in 15 years.) They've raised the rent so many times, I'm now paying nearly the same rent (plus utilities) for a 2-bdrm. apartment that I used to pay for a 3-bdrm townhouse. While the new ownership and management are an improvement over the previous group, they are still just barely adequate. Some days you get great service, others leave you scratching your head and searching the realestate pages. For the most part, it's a nice neighborhood. Very few problems with neighbors, but there are some. The insulations between untis is rather thin, so you hear what's going on next door, or above you (if you live downstairs). I recently bought a house and I am breaking my lease and leaving the complex. I have just grown tired of paying a large sum of money to live there, listenting to my neighbors every move and RERELY getting anything fixed. With a few adjustments, this could be a "world class" complex again, however, now -- rent cautiously.

Is there anywhere in Lawton that is decent? I can't seem to find any apartment complex's that are new.
