These apartments are in a high-crime neighborhood. One of my Fairfax neighbors seemed to be a drug dealer and another was a prostitute. The neighbors I shared a wall with had no jobs; they were around 24/7, playing rap music on their stereo with the base turned up. Even with the music turned up, we heard frequent screaming matches.

"Police line: do not cross" tapes were a fixture at Fairfax.

We were robbed. A young lady in the apartment complex witnessed it. She described the robber, who turned out to be a relative of one of the office employees. The office employee decided the young lady must must be lying and dismissed the entire thing without helping us whatsoever. The office workers were blase about any problem we ever had. I can't think of one time where they actually did anything about anything.

Among the things stolen from me: my underpants. Needless to say, I was very uncomfortable for the rest of my time at Fairfax while we were hurrying to find a new place to live.

The "security gate" is a joke. It was broken 1/2 the time, and at other times, cars would push their way in behind you when you opened the gate, and the people at the office didn't care.

If you insist on living here, don't leave your laundry in the machines at the laundromat, even when the machines are running, for a minute to go to the bathroom. I did that, and while I was gone, two women who were washing clothes while I was washing clothes told me they'd watch my stuff while I went to use the restroom. They stole my clothing while I was gone and were nowhere to be found when I came back two minutes later. When I reported this to the management, they said, "You need to watch your stuff." That was the extent of their "help." I wanted to describe the women to them, figuring the office employees might have a clue who these people were. They wouldn't let me describe them or help at all. Just said there was nothing they could do.

The only thing i can say to you honey is quit relying on everyone and quit putting trust in complete strangers. You will be better off in life. Also in apartments they are not security gates, how can a gate protect you. It is a courtesy gate, and believe me they do cut back on unwanted traffic. I just hop you find what you are looking for because you seem to be looking for alot in an apartment home. It might be better for you to buy a home.

your joking, you lived there in 2003 and are just stating an issue in 2006. I live there now in 2009 and that is the furthest thing from the truth.
