At first, this seemed like a great place. But as time went on, I realized that there are many things very, very wrong with these apartments. First of all, the management woman was extremely helpful and nice. She recently took on a new job, and the new management lady is also very helpful and super nice. I haven't had any maintenance issues, so I can't comment on that. I do know that when they sent the bug-patrol man to spray the home for insect prevention, he hardly, HARDLY sprayed anything at all. He pretty much just walked in and sprayed a wall...and that was it. The worst thing about these apartments is the neighborhood across the street. It's called Silverwood Apartments. I rather call them Silverfish apartments. It seems the tenents there are nasty individuals for the most part who are into gangs, drugs, possible prostitution, and loud music. The music is so, so extremely loud that you can hear the bass tremble within your walls. It's horrible. In fact, the tenents there come to this side of the 'fence' and walk the streets at night. Doing what' I have no idea. Just put it this way...don't keep any valuables in your car. There were some tenants that have hurled fast food items from their side of the fence to ours, and it even hit our car and the neighbor's car which seems very new. They did this with us watching as we came out of the apartment. It tends to build rage deep inside. Parking is a problem at night...there are too many cars and not enough space to park. Sometimes you have to park far away near the entrance, which feels dangerous to do at night. It's not the kind of neighborhood where you can walk your children without a sense of paranoia. These doors have a double lock..a regular lock and a chain lock, but I still feel extremely insecure at night. The windows are very, very large in the apartment, which will account for very high electricity bills, so be prepared for that. They do not let much, if any, sunshine in...so the apartment always seems bleak/dark. If you're looking for an apartment, find one far, far away from the Silverfish..erm, Silverwood Apartments. It is extremely "ghetto" in every sense. I hate being watched as I exit my apartment, because I feel that the tenents will know that I am gone and come to my home and try to steal my things. I have even considered getting a gun. Now that is very, very sad.

Then move! and I'm sure no one is watching you----who has the time and why would they be anyway? Meadow Glen has an awful lot of nasty reviews, so guess you're in the so called "Ghetto" too.

I agree with the poster. Don't move here unless you are ready to get your apartment walls 'rocked' by the stupid music coming from the 'neighboring' cars. It makes you want to put a bandana on and go Rambo for a day. There are not that many options around. Sadly, Meadow Glen was one of the 'better' options. Avoid Silverwood at all costs. I did follow up on the original poster's review, and there is a person there who was found to have child pornography. Disgusting. Disturbing. Trust me, I'm GONE as soon as my gig here is up. And to the Anonymous person from 8/11/08, from my own personal experience, those thugsters just stand outside their apartments in little groups of gangs just staring over here. Really uncomfortable is what that is. I'm out.
