Alameda Pointe

My roommate and I had a fire in our apartment last year (at another complex) the day after Thanksgiving which made our apartment unliveable and forced us to live in a hotel for a month after that, including Christmas. It was a very rough time for us, and during this time we looked at many different complexes in Norman. We met several different leasing staffs, but I must say that the only one that gave us an overwhelming sense of "home" was Alameda Point. We got here and met the property manager who was immediately friendly, courteous, compassionate, understanding, and willing to answer every question we had. We were shown an apartment immediately, and while it was smaller than the apartment we moved from, the grounds are very nice here, the closets are incredibly huge, the rent is very affordable, and since they are energy-star compliant our utilies are never unreasonable. After we moved in I was having a tough time adjusting to the new apartment, and sometimes I would go to the office just to talk to Ashley, the apartment manager. She was always willing to hear what I had to say, and made sure that in every interaction we had it was made clear to me that if there was anything I needed to let her know. Alot of these reviews on this site confuse me, especially those citing the staff as incompetent. The best explanation i can offer is perhaps there has been a change in management, though i would not know for sure. Also as far as the quality of the craftsmenship, I've been in apartments much worse, and anything we've reported has been fixed within 3 business days, no matter who we reported it to in the office.

What it all boils down to is that Alameda Point has been my best renting experience in my 3 years here in Norman. During that time I have lived in a total of 5 locations, and none of them can compare to the customer service, location, quality of facilities, and affordability I've encountered here. Definitely a recommendation for any college student, or even families as there are quite a few living here already.
