RUN AWAY

I lived there for 2 years and had a ton of problems. The old management was awesome and we had no problems with the apartments at all, but they got new people in the office that are no help at all and they screw you over with your deposit. The maintenance people are great with coming out to fix problems, but you have to ask several times and there comes a point when there are more problems then should be occurring and you are spending the majority of your time calling the office to report problems.

The sinks always drain slow or leak, the lights never get replaced, the tubs rarely drain, and the A/C works when it wants to. The apartments are very cheaply built and in a few years will be falling apart. Many of my friends lived there as well, so I was in and out of several apartments and every single one had the same problems, so I know it wasn't just an "unlucky" apartment. It was definitely a cheaply built complex. I had several times when I was woken up by neighbors having sex, their babies crying, or people walking by outside. I realize there is nothing management can do about these things, but you would think the apartments would have enough insulation to keep you from hearing every single step your neighbor takes.

If your blinds get ruined they charge you $25 for the cheapest blinds that are $2 at wal-mart (so you better go by wal-mart before they see them). The carpet was filthy when we moved into the apartments, so we spoke with maintenance before we moved out and were told we would not be charged for the carpet. After we moved out, they tried to charge $35 for new carpet until we complained and told them we had already been told the carpet would be replaced for free...they then changed their story and tried to act like they were doing us a favor for not charging us.

They also charged us $60 for a "cleaning fee" but we made sure the apartment was very clean before we moved out. We even went to the trouble of wiping down the baseboards, cleaning the inside of the oven, and the burner tops...none of which were clean when we moved in. We had to hire a cleaning lady when we moved into the apartments, but when we moved out we were charged for having an even cleaner apartment.

You would think after we convinced 6 friends to live there, we paid our rent on time every single month, and we never had any noise complaints or problems, that management would be smart enough to look at the records and realize we have the capability to refer even more friends and believe us when we said our apartment was clean. But since they are unwilling to work with tenants, unhelpful, and things are always going wrong..I have had 8 friends that have moved out in the past 2 months! that should be a red flag that something needs to change. We were upset about being charged for ridiculous things and the manager, Josh, was rude and unhelpful during the whole process and threatened to hang up the phone several times.

The closets are big and that is about the only good thing about these apartments. The "security guard" that drives by at night makes about 1 lap through the complex at the same time every night. I had several friends that lived at the complex and had their cars broken into. That is if you can even find a parking spot for your car. The pool is always dirty, the volleyball courts are covered in weeds and cannot be played on, and the "laundry mat" has about 3 washers and dryers that you cannot even sit down to watch your stuff. There are no basketball courts, workout facilities, or even a lobby.

Had the management been better with our concerns and complaints and not screwed us out of our deposit, I still would not recommend these apartments to anyone again because they are going to fall apart soon due to the cheap materials. I think it's ridiculous that you can be the perfect tenant, refer several friends that lived there for several years, and still have a staff that is not willing to work with you. YOU GUYS NEED TO GET YOUR OLD MANAGEMENT BACK. end of story.
