When I just moved in, the leasing agent in the office was friendly and helpful. The apartment was cleaned thoroughly upon move-in and the price was good. The few work orders I placed were taken care of quickly and things were fixed right in the first place. The appliances seem a bit old but my eletric bills had been quite reasonable. And I never had any bug problem living there.

However, the noise level there was not livable for people who like quiet living. There were quite a few partiers in the block I lived. The apartments seemed to be poorly built so you basically lived with your neighbors. I had to bear with loud music,thumping bass,and loud sex a lot.Also, as mentioned in one review, there were people "bumping" in their cars at all hours.

Safety is the other reason for which I decided to move out. One night a guy,apparently totally stoned, kept knocking on my door past midnight and just insisted that he left his wallet in my house. There were also at least 4 other people knocking on my door and looked for someone I don't know on different occasions.My car got many strange deep scratches that seemed to be made by some tool, in addition to several door dings. Also, I once found a large yellow finger print on my car door...In addition to freaks and noise, it also grossed me out that people NEVER picked up after their dogs.

Overall, there are good and bad things about Brookhollow. I would not go back if I had to choose again. However, I think it might be okay for someone who places more weights on price and convenience than things like safety or noise, given its proximity to OU and everything. And the apartment is actually quite spacious.
