When we moved in the office staff was very nice, prompt and seemed willing to help. But barely 2 months after we moved in something happened to the air conditioner, and all of a sudden there's a waterfall next to my front door!! So I called the helpline, put in a report, and nothing happens, I call again, they say that it could take up to 48 hrs, so we waited, and nothing, I mention it to the office staff, nothing, ran into the maintence man on my way to work, says he'll take a look at it later, wait another 2 days, he never came, then when it's time to pay rent, my boyfriend mentions it to the manager, while dropping off a check. we've waited 3 or so weeks, the wood is warping, carpet molding, and water is still coming out!! She did nothing, but a few days later, for some reason, we can't pay rent with a check, so the complex threatens to evict due to non-payment!! So my boyfriends father calls the manager, and we get a money order, pay the rent plus late fees, and magically the maintence man shows up with the manager to fix the problem. Then the manager yells at me about the water damage, because apparently there is no record of a call. If the call got misplaced, that's fine, but we made many attempts to fix the problem and were treated deplorably. Then less than a week later, our kitchen sink starts overflowing in the middle of the night, maintence shows up right away, plumber comes the next morning, I asked him what caused this and he told me that a hair clog travelled down the pipes from our upstairs neighbor, whose plumbing is connected to ours. A month later the toilet starts to overflow and a pipe in our closet started spraying water everywhere, again maintence is prompt, and the problem fixed, one of our friends put things in the toilet that don't belong there, so that was our fault, however, the next day we get a letter stating that if we dont pay for the work within 24 hrs, we will be evicted! I talk to the manager, who was extremly rude, and show her that the letter violates the lease agreement, and that this should be covered by the complex seeing as it is the first problem we had caused, also per the lease, she tells me that the courtesy was used previously with the sink problem, and I tell her what the plumber told me, she says that the work order stated that it was grease in the sink, but she doesn't have the work order and can't get it. We are still disputing the charge. And the cherry on the cake is that last week while doing the filter changes, one of the maintence guys tried to steal my cell phone, but was caught by another tenant who kindly returned it to me, I don't know if they took anything else, or if they have taken things before, but I will not be renewing my lease, this apartment has been the biggest nightmare we've ever had, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, ever.

i completely understand what you mean. the main manager was very hateful and rude to me on several occasions that didnt warrant that sort of childish response and needless to say i did not receive my security deposit back. the woman is also attempting to sue me for damages to the apartment that i was not even aware that a human could accomplish. at one point i took a weeks trip out of town and upon arriving at home, i opened my apartment door to find several maintenance men in my bedroom. i asked them what they were doing in my home and they made up some excuse about a leak in my bathroom as they left in a hurry. there was obviously no leak in my bathroom at all, nor were there any water stains... very very fishy if you ask me.
