I actually live in the Cedars, which is part of brookhollow, and have so for the last 8 months. The management has always been helpful and the apartment is very reasonably priced. However, I am a non-smoker and the people who lived in my apartment before me were smokers who smoked inside. The complex did a brilliant job covering it up, however, because of all the wood inside the apartment, the smoke still lingers in my apartment. It is embarrassing how much my clothes and things smell of stale cigarette smoke. Also, the windows are poorly insulated, so your electric bills are going to kind of high. In the summer, crickets had no problem getting into my apartment. It was terrible. They came and sprayed for bugs, but that doesn't help at all. There is a pool nearby but there are always people in the pool I have never seen before with all of their kids, making it impossible to go there.
The apartments are nice, but I don't think worth living in this part of town. Cop cars are ALWAYS here, and not just one but several. I have seen several of my neighbors being arrested. I wouldn't live here again solely on that reason alone. If they were located somewhere else, I might consider.
