only if you can't afford anything better

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2001
I lived at the Cedars while I was a poor college student. 1 thing to say about these apartments is that there is plenty of parking. It was small but ok for my first time on my own. They are older and you could tell it in the kitchen and bathroom. I was in an efficiency and I thought that the bookcase was a cool way to separate bedroom from living room. I absolutely hated the maintenance staff, only because they were rude and hateful. If something needed to be fixed, it was fixed right. The Cedar's is an island in the middle of Norman's ghetto, there is low rent housing all around and since I didn't have cable, one night I sat and watched a domestic dispute. A guy and girl were beating on each other and when someone went to help the woman getting beaten told the girl to mind her own business and get back in her house. When the police came they ran off. I also lived above a guy who almost burned the building down by falling asleep with lit cigarettes. Management couldn't seem to evict him. All in all - it served me well, but I got inside my apartment quickly at night. I saw comments about trash everywhere - it was while the grounds/maintenance staff were picking up the trash that I encountered the rudeness. They came out everyday to pick up trash. The pool was a little funky but I never wanted to swim anyway. It's the surrounding neighborhood and hateful maintenance people that is the downfall of this place.
