Better off homeless....

My now-wife (at the time fiancee) lived in Cimmaron Trails for nearly five years. I experienced their "hospitality" through her, especially since when my fiancee needed something done and the management would not do it, I had to call and make some demands in order to let them know that I knew about what was going on. I visited her frequently there during the final two years of her occupancy and I was not impressed at all with what Cimmaron Trails offered. Like a previous review that detailed of utilities failing seemingly every other day, this happened to my fiancee. In the dead heat of July, the AC went out every day without fail. We wound up staying in a hotel because the heat was so oppressive. What was so shocking about this (besides the fact that they didn't fix the AC immediately) was that they actually wondered if we wanted them to reimburse them for the hotel bill! If it wasn't for the fact that I am allergic to bull$hit, they would have gotten away with it. To make matters more complicated, my fiancee was going through a complicated pregnancy that required bedrest. How can she be on bedrest when the temperatures inside the apartment exceed 90 degrees at night!' They had no sympathy WHAT-SO-EVER. Upon moving out, they (like in previous reviews) dropped a bombshell that we owed them nearly $400.00 for clean-up fees and repairs. Mind you, my fiancee had lived there for nearly five years so carpet is going to be downtrodden. They painted this picture like she left this apartment like a post-apocalyptic war room. After I called the corporate office in Tulsa and demanded some compromise for their unrealistic assessment of fees, we settled on around $275.00 (when in fact it should have been $0.00). Let me advise you, if you sign a lease, document the move-in with pictures and have an good attorney on call. If you're not careful, when you move out, you will get royally screwed with all sorts of strange fees. You are better off paying The University of Oklahoma to stay on-campus rather than renting from this complex. At least OU is reasonable when it comes to responding to needs. If it had not been for the fact that my fiancee was pregnant, I would have recommended that she sleep in her car before sleeping in that apartment. At least her car has a working air conditioner.
