I lived in Squire Village and LOVED it... but don't live in Cherrystone.

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2002
I lived in Squire Village for 1 1/2 years at 2 different units... I lived in a one bedroom there for 6 months and then in a two bedroom with a roommate for a year after that. I never had any problems with anything there... the managament were always nice to deal with, and the size of the apartments was great. Squire Village was an awesome little complex b/c it's quiet and private... and it's mostly old people and grad (read: responsible and quiet) students who live there.
Also, my boyfriend (now husband) lived in both Squire Village and a Clarendon townhome at various times, and he had no problems either.
The only criticisms I have of Squire Village are minor: 1) I think the people who lived above me were operating a meth lab out of their apartment because occasionally I would smell a really weird strong chemical smell, like nothing I had ever smelled before. 2) When they watered the grass outside my apartment there would be a huge mud pool right by my front door, which I would have to walk through and track mud in my apt. 3) I agree with other reviewers that the laundry facilities were crappy... they only had 3 machines! I just took my laundry to the laundromat across the street, though. No worries!
I think that most of the people who have criticisms of Clarendon properties lived in Cherrystone...... My advice: Cherrystone is crappy. Don't live in Cherrystone. Squire Village and the Clarendon townhomes are great!
