All who have ineterest in renting anything from Dowell Properties please be warned. -----------, the manager of the Clarendon Properties, who is also the owners brother, can not be trusted in any way: And here is why:
I had signed a 5 month lease with ----, which expired on December 31, 2008. Five days before my lease was up he took it upon himself to enter my property and dispose of what was left; totalling $7,575. He claimed that it was abandoned, even though my lease had not yet expired. He admitted to doing this, not only to me but to the police who investigated this act. Among these items were family heirlooms, letters and correspondence of deceased friends, pictures, Gold and silver jewelry and electronics. I never found the jewelry. I made the mistake of renting from -----------, please take this into consideration before losing things that can never be replaced.

HaHa. This woman was moved out because she had a yippy dog in her apartment. She shut her electric off like a month earlier and her trash was starting to smell. What a creep.

I think that these responses are hilarious, myself. I am the woman referred to as ??????trashy?????? in an earlier comment. I personally know seven people that have either lived or are currently living in the Clarendon Townhomes and Apartments and have the same opinion of the ??????creepy?????? apartment manager, ----, and the same complaints about reoccurring maintenance issues not being taken care of. Just to clear things up, not for my benefit, but for anyone else that could get screwed by this company, I was NOT forced to move anywhere. I was in the process of moving during the last month of my lease when my belongings were removed from my home and thrown away in the dumpster BEFORE MY LEASE WAS UP. If you are considering moving here, please call the Norman Police Department and look this case up. You can find it under Clarendon Apartments. I filed a report of THEFT, because there was no forced entry and my things were removed from my apartment and thrown away. Also, I have a Police Officer who has agreed to testify on my behalf if I decide to sue the jerk. So, in response, this is OBVIOUSLY the uneducated, immature, and undeserving of his position as Apartment Manager, -----------, who is commenting on these complaints to cover himself as well as the apartments. As for the ??????trashy?????? remark, I am a respectable employee of the Oklahoma -------------, and the trashiest move I made was renting from Dowell Properties.

----: Trash would not stink up the apartment during December, in 20 degree weather, with no food in it, in the few days in between me coming to pick stuff up from my apartment. It is quite obvious to any reader, that these anonymous comments are really you, ----. So, if you are so keen on being honest and continue to make comments in your own defense, why don't you just copy and paste the police report. Be honest about the fact that there is enough proof and evidence that I could, if I wanted to, take legal action. I understand why you don't tell the whole truth, but seriously. Grow up. Also, you cannot write a good review to counteract each bad/honest review you receive. You have to remember that these people ARE being honest. They are WARNING others, not to be hateful. No amount of typing errors, misspelled words, or even lack of punctuation make you appear to be a hard working "grad student" just trying to have some peace. You know better. The readers know better. It is OBVIOUS.

Steer clear. The owner of said properties has the nickname SCROOGE & lives up to it. The properties are under maintained, have been cited for city code/health violations & are crime ridden. ----------- has a reputation of being a cash hungry, egotist slumlord with a romanticized fantasy of being in the OKC 'elite' club. Funny thing is, everyone laughs behind his back at he and his creepy oedipus-like relationship with his mother and sister. And I mean, CREEPY! Good thing there's a lot of NEW, NICE & comparatively priced apartments in Norman.. I suggest living in a van down by the river before a Dowell Property.

----, speaking of ------- and DIRTBAG, please be aware that all complaints that have been made regarding management are referring to you. No one would defend the property as you do. They are bitching about YOU. I can still sue your pathetic ass. I will not tolerate any more of your responses.
