I wish I could afford to move someplace else.

I've had to deal with panhandlers, people trying to sell me food out of coolers, etc.

I don't even open the door when someone knocks.

If you live in a downstairs apartment, the noise from upstairs travels through the vents.

The windows also don't block sound at all.

Every night in warmer temperatures, there's a person in a nearby apartment who blasts his AM talk radio and makes it difficult to sleep.

I've called courtesy patrol four times in the past few months and no one has ever arrived or made an effort to contact me.

The office staff won't look into things unless courtesy patrol has notified the people in the nearby apartment.
My apartment has flooded eight times.

I am not exaggerating, bluffing, or making it to be more than it seems.

The second time it happened, maintenance never arrived to do carpet repairs and I had to stretch my carpet out best I could on my own.

I waited and called for a month, always being promised they'd be in soon.

Why am I paying four hundred dollars a month to live like this'
When I go in to talk to the office staff, I always leave feeling like I've been a bother to one of them.
I may be taking out a loan soon, so that I can pay the deposit on another place.

At this point, I don't think they can legally take action against me if I did break my lease.
