My best friend and I were hopeful and enthusiastic about these thrifty apartments. Sadly, every aspect of this place is quite beastly. I could compose lengthy accounts of everything that happened during our stay, but I'll keep it short and sweet so you don't misuse more time even considering this place.
The floors are askew.
Some doors didn't open and close completely.
Birds were getting into a crack in the roof and nesting above the closet. They would die after a while and the smell was unendurable. We reported the problem when we first heard the birds, and it didn't get fixed until the birds were dead.
Trash covers the parking lot and landscaping.
Wasp problem!
The floors/carpets are in poor condition.
I never got my $200 deposit back, after several attempts they did assure me they would contact me about the matter. (it's been 7 months, not a word)
A friend of mine who lived in a different building was attacked with a knife by another tenant.
Three days before our lease was up a maintenance worker entered our apartment uninvited to 'see if we were still there''
I watched a maintenance worker throw a pumpkin I carved off of my second story porch onto our building. . . . seriously.
The laundry facilities are repulsive.
The office workers sent us late notices several times when we had already paid. Dealing with the errors of the office workers was quite a hassle.
A package of mine was mishandled and sent to someone else in the complex. Luckily they were nice enough to find me and give it to me (maybe after realizing it was a gift to my mother).
The police were consistently present, dealing with the domestic violence beneath us, and who knows what else.
Our garbage disposal and half of the coils on the stove never worked the entire year we paid rent.
Since I lived there, two of my friends moved in, one of them already moved out, and the other one is the man who was attacked with a knife.
