Not a bad place to live

I've lived here for a little more than 2 years now, and started out in a one bedroom apartment. I've since married and we moved to a 2 bedroom apartment, which is much better suited to us. The management and leasing agents are extremely friendly and helpful. When we go in to speak with them, they know us by apartment number and name, which helps to make the interaction more personal.
Most of the time, mantainence requests are fulfilled in a timely manner, however last summer we had major issues with our A/C and they started out by checking the breakers, then, gave us a new thermostat. None of which helped -- even with the air on, the apartment would not cool down. It was blowing semi-warm air. They added coolent, that did little to help, even after cleaning th air ducts. Finally, by late summer, they replaced the entire A/C unit. Recently we've had an issue where our bathtub in our master bedroom needs to be replaced (it's been repaired several times) and were told that it would be done a few weeks ago. It's still not been replaced. Apparently they are authorized to replace one bathtub per month and an empty apartment was next in line for the month of August, but they were going to bump us up in front of the empty apartment due to the fact that ours is occupied. This did not happen.
With the new managemnt, they are completely renovating the apartments and fixing everything up, even the damaged trees from last year's ice storm. The groungs seem to be well maintained, and work is continuing to progress on that. It's beginning to look very nice. The only problem with the renovations on the grounds and all of the apartments is that the price you pay for rent does go up.
If looking to lease from this complex, be sure to ask about military discounts, and discounts that may be offered due to where you work (many call centers, such as Sitel and Convergys offer a 5% discount for renting here.
Neighbors where we live are quiet and we've actually become friends with a couple of them. Overall, I would say this is a great place to live.

i actually no longer live in the apartments but since the hike of laundry prices, did they buy new equipment (washers or dryers) or atleast keep the laundry room cleaner? was the laundry room renovated?

I have a washer and dryer in my unit, so I've never really had to use their laundry facilities. I would hope with the rate increase, that they would have replaced them, or at least will within a reasonable amount of time. There is so much remodeling going on and ground maintainence that there's no telling what they're going to do to be honest.
