Well, our problems started when we came to check out the complex. The apartment that we got was NOT the one that we were shown--another case of show them the nice one and give them a crappy one. The manager at the time left our paperwork on her desk for two weeks--which was a big deal since the place we were moving out of was being torn down by OU to build a parking lot! When we called the main McSha office to complain they somehow managed to get us into an apartment, but the carpet is so horrible and filthy even after it has been shampooed. There are stains and one long six inch burn mark in the living room floor. Dark, dingy filthy gray--the carpet needs to be replaced. Then our washing machine broke and stayed that way for over three months. The stove was the next to go--one of the burners caught fire while cooking and almost burned my boyfriend's sister as she was cooking. Then the oven's heat regulator went out. They decided to fix the stove, after nearly six months of us harassing them to come and fix it. Six months with no stove. They cannot seem to get rid of the roaches in this apartment. Don't move in here if you expect peace and quiet, either--there are lots of parties that take place in the small lot in the back of the complex, which included setting off firecrackers on the fourth of july and hitting another tenant's car with a rocket. Get notices that they are going to trim trees so move your car, they are going to do routine maintenance on the apartment, but nothing gets done. The guys who brought in our replacement stove clearly had no idea what they were doing--they were muttering to each other how best to proceed--not the best course of action when the tenant is standing right there. My boyfriend eventually had to pull out the stove and re-install it himself.

I think the topper was when our air conditioning broke earlier in the summer and the guy came to fix it. What was good was that they brought a window unit in that day to give us temporary relief until they could get our outside unit fixed. The bad part was that when they discovered that our unit was leaking Freeon, they just put in more Freeon. They didn't fix the leak, they just poured more Freeon into it and said, "Just call us when it stops working again!"

During yet another change in apartment managers they lost ALL of our paperwork--lease agreements, everything. Good thing we kept copies.

I would seriously not recommend living here.
