TINY is the perfect word to describe these apartments! At least they're in a great location...close to I-35, grocery shopping, the mall, and all the restaurants on Ed Noble. The walls in the apartments are paper-thin. Everytime your neighbor gets in or out of bed, talks on the phone, starts the shower, or has sex, you know! When your neighbors are smoking inside their apartment, the stench seeps through the walls. And when the morons downstairs pointlessly slam their door as hard as they can everytime they leave or come home, it feels as if the entire floor was going to fall in. We lived there for 2 years. The current manager, Darla, is by no means the best at what she does, but she's a hell of alot better than Lisa (the previous manager) ever was! Now, there is a real maintenance man that goes around to fix problems, unlike the shady characters that were hired off the street to fix things before. There were a couple of crime problems when we first moved in, nothing major. Funny how after certain people left those problems stopped! There's been nothing that I know of in the past year, which for any apartment complex, I consider GREAT!! The parking lot is poorly lit at night and whether the lights will even turn on at all is anybody's guess! I never had a problem with my car. At all times, I kept it locked and had an unobstructed view of it from my apartment. The complex is pretty quiet, no wild parties or anything. And MOST people are respective of keeping the noise level down after about 9:00 at night. I never had any problems with any of the other residents. There is no pool or hot tub. There is a laundry room and I never had a problem with the washers or dryers. Occasionally a washer is out of order, but that's rare. Do your laundry in the morning/early afternoon if at all possible because very few people are home then. I saw a couple ants in our apartment in 2 years and we never had pest control spray even once so I assume my neighbors were clean! GOOD SIGN! There are fire/ambulance sirens at all hours of the day and night with the fire station being just west by about a mile and Robinson being the main route to the hospital. If the wind is just right, you can hear the train but never enough to keep you awake. Traffic going east on Robinson from about 4:30-6:00 in the evening is a complete nightmare! Plan to be home or stay away during that time. (Around Christmas time, with the mall being so close, it's about 5 times worse ALL DAY LONG!) All in all, I would recommend. But, do watch out (and stay as far away from) the stupid b-tch in building B on the south side, lower level and to the west of the stairs! She has no clue how to drive, and parks her 2 pieces of sh-t: a teal Mustang and black Dodge Durango however she pleases. She will purposely park way too close to your car just because she feels she's entitled (I guess) and ding your door with hers just because she's a careless and disrespectful b-tch! She also yells at and kicks her Boston Terrier in public. That alone should be grounds for a forceful b-tch slap across her face. And she leaves about 15 times a day for like 10 minutes a time, so I believe she's also selling drugs. She walks around like she literally has a stick up her ass. Someone should pull it out and knock some sense into her with it. STAY AWAY FROM HER! She'd test anyone patience!!
