I have only been a tenant for three months and can't wait until my six month lease is up so that I can find a reputable place. I was taken in by the charm of the peaceful setting with the Golf Course and the advertised (Lake) that is in front of it. The so-called management made me feel right at home (until I signed the the lease agreement), then I just became another statistic to them. My first unsettling exerience came only two days after I moved in with a warning that my bathroom tub was being fixed (because of cracks in the tub) and that I needed to be away from the place for eight hours until everything settled (fumes, paint, ext.), so three days later and still not done (I had to finish it myself)I choked down the fumes and actually starting sleeping in my apartment.
After my move-in inspection of writing down everthing that needed fixing (so that I wouldn't be charged when I move out, I wouldn't hold my breath) was done the manager said that they would have the most important things fixed (holes in the screens, leaking water) but that has yet to happen.
The end all of this complaint (or warning) was the fact that since I live on the first floor (so I could get a better view of all the trash and muddy lake has to offer)I constantly am literally being chocked out by the neighbors above who think that they need to smoke around the clock. Because evertime they light up the smoke just billows down from the air vents right into my apartment (which I am sure is a Code violation of some sort)If that isn't bad enough I can even smell in detail everything that is being cooked upstairs as if I were in the kitchen with them (sometimes I wish they would invite me upstairs for supper).
Thier is a pet ordinance that limits the amount and size of pets (which is not a big thing), but when I come home after a day of work and just want to relax, I can't because I have to clean up the inside of my apartment because of the infiltration of crickets and bugs (they say they spray) and I still can't figure out where they are coming from. But since I have literally bombed my apartment twice in three months, all I clean up now is dead insects, so I do reccomend the bombing chemicals from Wal-Mart (but not the apartment). Management simply tells me that they do spray BUT you always get insects when you live next to a so-called lake.
Most people will just simply write a terrible review and not sign thier name or give any reference to who made the complaint, but in this case my name is Mike and I temporarily live in B-15 (until December) so please feel free to come and talk to me before doing anything with this leasing agent.
I know that this will be sluffed off by the leasing authorities but still it is my duty to warn prospective victims, (I mean tenants)
