My overall opinion is that it's an okay place to live. It's fairly cheap, but that lower price is reflected in the small apartments and older appliances. It's a pretty place on the outside, with a cute theme and a pond that has ducks, fish, and a really big deck that is built out onto the pond. It's fairly quiet and I felt safe there. I like how it feels isolated yet is still just off of Hwy 9, and minutes from I35. The current manager is nice-much better than the old one, Lana, who was horrible in every aspect as a manager. My utilities were low, even in the two bedroom unit (like $30-40/month for water and $65-90 for electric). Soooo, that's the good stuff.
The Bad Stuff
I've had a couple maintenance issues, and it always seems to take a while for the issues to be addressed. The big one was the dishwasher, which I was told on a couple occasions "would be replaced in the next week". However it took like three weeks or so for that to be resolved. One time water leaked from the bathroom of the apartment above mine, so now I have water spots on the ceiling of my bathroom. The appliances are old, and the kitchen is waaaaay tiny. Definitely not enough counter/cabinet space. Ditto on the lack of those in the bathroom. The living room is fairly small as well. There's really not enough storage space in general, although the bedroom closets are larger than what I expected. Not enough lighting/good lighting, especially as a student needing light to do homework by.
I'm a full-time student who also works full-time, so I wasn't there much. It's been a good place to store my stuff and sleep, but I don't think I would really like being in it more than I do. BUT it's really great for the price. With two people it's okay, but sometimes a little tight. In some units they have built in shelving which was really cool when I had it. All in all, I would recommend this to a friend.
