Poor Apartments and Shady Staff

This place was a nightmare from the beginning. We asked for a 12 month lease and come to find out they scammed us, rushed us through signing the lease, and now it I know they made us sign for 13 months. They are refusing to let us out in 12 months. I understand I signed it, but the lady rushed us through signing and I assumed (wish I didn't do that) that we would get what we asked for. The staff has not been helpful with problems either.

We had our ceiling cave in on a rainy day because of the poor construction. It took them 3 FULL MONTHS before it actually got fixed. And they did a poor job on the repairs too. The repair company came in and left drywall mud all over the furniture and TV and didn't clean it up. The carpets also got stuff all over them and they never cleaned it. I reported it to the office and it never got fixed. Also they never repainted the ceiling.

Don't rent a second floor. During the summer with the AC set to 50 the inside temp never got below 82 degrees. And the electric bill was at or above $200 in the summer. One of my cars was run into by another tenant and they damaged my fender and the complex did nothing. And my friends car was keyed all over.

I DEFINATELY DON'T RECOMMEND

um...if you would have read your contract (like normal people do...even if someone tries to rush them) it states on there that the complex is not responsible for damages to vehicles in the parking lot. Why would they be? People would be scamming them for money all the time. I live on the THIRD floor and I've never had a problem with my a/c or heat. My electric has NEVER been over $80/month. Could be because of your crappy roof...but again, the apartment can't help that the roof leaked and it caved in. That happens when people own HOUSES that are PAID FOR. Poor luck on your part. If it happened to me, I'd be upset too....but don't blame the apartment complex for a roof caving in that is about 35 years old. These apartments have been around for a while. Did you expect Bob Stoops' construction or something? I mean, get real. It's an apartment. Go buy a house and read your freaking contract next time.

I had an upstairs apartment for two years. What this guys says is not true. For an upstairs apartment (notoriously warm in the summer), it was surprisingly cool and I never once had a summer electric bill over $80. And we kept it very cool! Also, I never had problems with the maintenance. They were always great and fabulously timely. I have a hard time believing that this review is in any way factual...
