Some of these other reviews are quite humorous. I have lived here for seven months and have had my first real problem this weekend. We have termites, but heck, that can happen anywhere. I have left a message and I'm sure they will call me first thing tomorrow. At my previous apartment complex (Hampton Woods) I had brown recluse spiders and they NEVER came to exterminate. I had to do it myself and it cost a lot of money on my part. I had my own washer and dryer when I moved into Post Oak so the maintenance guy came quickly to remove theirs. After the new ones were installed, the doors on the laundry nook wouldn't shut. I then had to call back and they came and replaced the old steel-like doors with nice wooden ones. They were very quick on this too. The guy did leave a mess when he left but he didn't have a broom or anything to clean it up with and I told him I'd take care of it. My alarm went off one night during a storm and I had to call the after hours emergency line at 3:30 am. I got a call back in five minutes and he told me exactly what to do to make it stop blaring. The office girls have always been extremely nice and I have never had to go get a box from the room behind the front desk. They always get them for me and I've had about 15 boxes since I've lived here. I have never heard my neighbors "doing it" or whatever everyone else says. I do hear water running but I've lived in about 5 other apartments (one very nice one) and I heard the water running too. It's from the washer/tub/dishwasher and it's inevitable. It's impossible to keep 100% of the noise out of other complexes. I have two dogs that play all the time and I've never had a complaint. I feel very safe here and my neighbors are quite nice. The inside of MY apartment is great. The dishwasher is aged but my stove is brand new. There were a few chips in the porcelain bathroom sink, but these apartments are old and I expected that. The exterior is aged, the paint is peeling but I'm sure they haven't painted in years. The tennis courts are GREAT and the fitness center is small but okay for being open 24 hours/day. There are two pools that are very nice, the one by the office is a little bigger I think, and there IS a basketball court, the basketball goal just needs fixed is all. The grounds are kept very nicely and the scenery is beautiful. Do not park under the pine trees though. They sap on your car..haha.
