My 2 friends and I walked in to rent a 3 Bedroom apartment. The apartment looked nice, but the staff was completely unhelpful. On top of that, Although there were 3 of us splitting the rent (and none of us are hard up for cash), the forced all 3 of us to have a cosigner because each one of us had to Make 3x the rent per month. Ok, so we get cosigners. Then the renaissance started going to work on our cosigners. They started asking for all sorts of information like credit bureau and tax return information for as "verifications of employment". It is not on unnecessary to ask for that stuff, but illegal. The wont let you rent with them unless you give them that info. Dont let them bully you around, Renaissance is just a scam.

I had the exact same experience. I was getting tired of hearing, "Miss Edye said...", so I went into her office against her secretary's advice and asked her to explain why getting into her apartments was like getting into the White House. She required incredible amounts of very personal information, and was pushy, condescending, and rude. She is a terrible manager, and I am surprised she still has tenants.

Ms. Edye is an evil tyrant, i used to work there. She is going to run that place into the ground.
