I've lived here a little more than a year. I haven't had any huge problems. The buildings are old, so the insulation is pretty bad. They were redoing the outsides, but seem to have stopped completely since they started rebuilding the building that burned down. My door was replaced though and is much nicer, although it still doesn't seal very well.

The few maintenance problems I've had have been corrected right away. The maintenance people are great! Also, when I had some noisy neighbors, it was taken care of with very little trouble on my part. The new office people are very good at their jobs.

I've never not been able to find parking, and the parking lots are lit. The office keeps sending out notices that cars are being broken into though, so apparently it's not as safe as it seems.

It was annoying that there was never any salt or sand put down when we had the ice storm, but not a huge issue.

The main draw to Riverbend for me was the fact that they allow all sizes of dogs, and all breeds except pit bull types (although the pit bull part may have changed since I moved in). The grounds are fairly clean despite this, except that hardly anyone picks up after their dog in the off-leash dog park area. There is a limit of two pets per apartment and a separate deposit for each.

Having seem what else is available in Norman and OKC, I'd say Riverbend is okay if you can't find anywhere else that will take your dog, but otherwise you can definitely do better for the money.
