I lived here for the better half of a year. I ended up becoming pregnant during our stay in these apartments and BEGGED them to fix and improve the poor quality of our apartment's plumbing. The BIGGEST reason we cut out of our lease early is that there were smokers living below us. You could actually SEE the smoke coming into our apartment through air vents and plumbing. There was shoddy repair jobs to walls also, where the smoke would pour in. It was worse than living in a bar. I complained to management on an almost daily basis, and they let us out of our lease early because they didn't want to fix the problems. At least they let us go without penalties or problems. Also, the utilities were through a wierd company and water bills were outrageous. The company as based in Florida, I believe. So was the gas. I hated the Pines. It was noisy, always domestic problems, constant police and fire visits. The pool is not maintained at all. The laundry room is a pit, and you might worry about people stealing your things.
