Don't Let the Property Fool You

We moved in right before summer. We would leave the air on 80 all summer and end up with $300 electric bills. Everytime we would call to get them to come out to check out air conditioner they would tell us it was fine and bills were suppose to be that high. We had previously lived in a bigger apartment and would keep the air on 75 and our highest bill was $150. Finally, the sent someone out who knew what he was talking about and how to fix the air was to just about put in a new system. Of course, he mysteriously went to another property and they management said that our air was fine again, it just needed to be cleaned. (The coils always needed to be cleaned apparently). Our kitchen light is one of those halogen lights and we have called twice now to get it fixed becuase it won't turn on, it will only flicker. It reminds me of a horror movie, kinda scary. Finally, the biggest problem. I came home to find an eviction notice becuase they said we hadn't paid. Then when I went to talk to them they said we had never turned in a renewal form so I promptly wrote me 30 day notice. Turns out they had put the rent in someone else's account and they randomly found the renewal notice. (But it wasn't their fault becuase they were under new management, they are always under new management). Therefore, should we leave in 30 days we would be breaking our lease and have to pay more. My advice to anyone who is looking in Norman, Apple Creek has almost the same layout and I heard their management is very good (It's a different company). Go there, don't go to Twin Creek.
