Before moving out of the dorms, my roommate and I looked at nearly every complex in norman, but we chose the Commons...that should say something. They're one of the cheaper complexes, especially if you want a furnished place. We've got a third floor apartment, which I definitely recommend....I think the ceilings are thin so you can hear the people above you if you get a first or second floor. The place is pretty well kept, inside and out. We did have an ant problem at the start of the year, but the pest control guys were really helpful and I haven't seen any ants at all in a few months. Maintenance is also very nice, any problems are fixed pretty quickly. It's a pretty nice neighboorhood, quick access to highway 9. There are usually several parties on the weekends, but I don't really hear it when the windows are closed and it's not a problem on weeknights. Parking is usually not a problem either...I can ususally park right in front of the building, unless it's late on Sunday night. The furniture and carpet in the apartment were pretty clean, and we didn't even get one of the newly renovated apartments. The dishwasher and washer/dryer are kinda old, but they work well enough. Overall, I'm really glad we chose to live here and I hope my new place in Atlanta is this nice.
