I am A professional Engineer and my wife is a Medical Doctor today we get a notice from Mrs. Grace that my wife had to come the office and pay a criminal background check on me (As I am not on the lease at the time of signing lease i was searching job and my wife start working). The reason today I went to the management office to deliver a cashier check of my rent because I was late by few hours . From October 4th to October 10 I received 4 notices from Mrs. Grace(Manager of the Property) for not paying the rent on time and getting warning for eviction and legal actions what was our offence late on rent payment a day only. In this notice Mrs Grace advise my wife to have a criminal background check of your husband or have him removed from the premises. Some one should ask Mrs Grace why we rent a condo if she does not have a familly and at the time of signing lease i and my wife were always in the management office togather and the property manager before Mrs. Grace(Or DisGrace) deal with me 90% of the time. Transwest policy is we run a criminal background ck on any occupant 18 or older, fair housing says what we do for one we must do for the other. EVERYONE who signs a lease is told when rent is late it MUST be paid in certified funds, you arent't any more special than any other resident just because you're an engineer, everybody that's late gets a courtesy late notice(4th day of the month),5-day notice on the 5th, courtesy notice on the 9th, court dates are then scheduled on the 10th. Seems to me a good engineer would be able to accept the responsibility for paying his rent on time and be accountable when he doesn't.

Why i was not asked for my criminal background check. And why your previous manager "Trish" did not asked me and my wife for a criminal bckground check. Why on saturday october 6th one of your associate accept my personel check with $50 as late fee???. Why on tuesday october 9th a letter from Miss Grace were posted on my entrance door that i had to bring a certified check, without returning my rent check that i delivered on saturday???. Why your incharge of oklahoma operations send me an e-mail stating that when i delivered the check on saturday it would had been accepted (If you want I can send you that E-mail also). And why she also not demanded a certified check and my criminal background check???. When you are responding to any complain always open your mind and your eyes it seems at least your mind were closed while responding to my previous message.Also remember a basic thumb rule to evaluate an engineer you must be an Engineer also.
