When I moved into my apartment at the Amb. House, I was pretty happy with the condition of it. The carpet was only so-so, but I decided to deal with it since it seemed like a quiet place to live.
I didn't have many problems. The ceiling fans stopped working, which they said they fixed though they never did.
Every time I went to the pool, the manager (whom I had met at least 2 dozen times) came out to ask me who I was and why I was in the pool. At first I didn't mind, but toward the end of the summer I just started telling her to p*ss off. The groundskeeper would do the same as she did, asking me who I was. It was just annoying.
Finally when I moved out, I didn't get my deposit back. They said it was for the carpet which was damaged when I moved in. They just told me that's how it works and that they were not apologizing. That was hateful.
All in all it was more of a pain than it was worth.

I have to agree with you about the pool thing she would come out and always ask me who i was, or whenever i went to the office to ask a question she tries to sell me another apartment.
